What is 'Freshers'?
Freshers Week is a jam-pack 9 days of madness and mayhem that will launch your experience at both UofG and Glasgow University Union! As well as granting you the opportunity to meet new people in your incoming class, you'll be introduced at 'out-of-class' activities that will be available to you over the following 12 months!

The two student unions at UofG - GUU and QMU have come together to ensure we can provide you with a safe, fun and exciting 'Week One' at university!
Wether you are a local from Glasgow, traveling from elsewhere in Scotland, or are flying in from farther afield, we can't wait to welcome you in September!!

Freshers week is working this year...
We plan on giving every student, from first year to final year, an experience to remember.

Freshers week isn't just about being new to Glasgow! - it's about meeting old friends, trying new things and reminding yourself how to have fun outside of just the academics!

That's why the two student unions on campus - GUU (Glasgow University Union) and QMU (Queen Margaret Union) are working together like never before to ensure this is a Freshers Week like never before! Welcoming everyone to The Home of Glasgow Student Nightlife.

Head down to the Glasgow University Union, collect your GUU Freshers Week 2025 Wristband.
Please bring your proof of your new enrolment - (MyCampus registration email).
