D*** F***** is the biggest night of the year at GUU, the annual 12 hour black tie ball has been hosted at the end of the Christmas Term since 1908. All of the Union’s rooms have something going on, Debates hosts huge headline acts such as Becky Hill, the Dining Room hosts Laser Quest, Billiards Room hosts the charity Casino and there's much more going on in the Union over the 12 hours.

Each year the building is completely transformed with a secret theme in mind. The decorations are put together by a committee of students, either builders or painters. Working from October to the day before D*** F*****, painting scenes on huge boards and building props to bring the theme to life!

Although D*** F***** started years ago, and on a much smaller scale, it is still one of the most loved nights at the union and the effort put in by the committee and the board to make it happen every year is no less than extraordinary.

These days more than 1500 students come through the building every year, making it the largest night on the Union's calendar.
