Glasgow University Union is YOUR Union, run by students for students. Membership is FREE and entitles you to discounted entry to all of our big nights including comedy shows and gigs, free Wi-Fi throughout the building, access to our two libraries and discounted photocopying.

Also take full advantage of our cash machine, cashback facilities, Billiard Hall, pool tables, games machines and jukebox.

Beer Bar

The Beer Bar has been serving Glasgow University’s student population since 1951 and is open daily from 11am – 11pm, serving fast food (think pakora, paninis, chips and chicken burgers) until 10pm.

With eighteen taps of the finest ales and lagers to choose from, the Beer Bar is the perfect place to come and relax after a hard day in lectures or to sit and enjoy the sport shown on the five flat-screen TVs dotted around the comfy booths. 

The Beer Bar plays host to everything from the annual events such as the infamous Iron Stomach to the Monday Night Quiz, weekly Darts Competitions and Just a Minute.

Shop

The GUU shop provides everything required for a student’s needs. From healthy food deals to sweeties and crisps, stationery supplies to newspapers and magazines, what else could you need? And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, our friendly shop assistants will be more than happy to assist.

Servery

The Union Café offers you tasty treats Monday to Friday from 9am-2.30pm.
Whether you’re after a light snack or a hearty main meal, the Union Café provides some of the cheapest meals on campus beginning from £1.75! 

Also, if you want to “eat fresh,” then Subway, opposite the Union Café, is the place for you and saves you traipsing to Byres Road.
