Where is GUU?

GUU is situated at 32 University Avenue, G12 8LX, opposite the Sir Charles Wilson Building on Glasgow University’s beautiful campus.

When is GUU open?

GUU is open from 8am Monday - Saturday and from 1pm on Sundays, during term time. During holidays, the Beer Bar, GUU Shop and Subway are open Monday- Friday from 8am. The Beer Bar is open from 11am on Saturdays.

I left my jacket in the cloakroom, can I get it back?

If you have left a jacket, come into the Union between 12 and 4 on a weekday and ask at the Porters’ Box, and a duty Board member will accompany you to retrieve it. If you have the ticket, please bring it with you.

Can I come to The Hive, even if I am not a member?

GUU is open to both members and non-members. However, if you are not a member of either GUU, QMU, or cannot produce a student card from another University, you will need to be signed in. Under 18s can only be admitted if they are members of GUU.

What do I do if I have an idea to improve the Union?

Just pop your suggestion into the suggestion box at the foyer. The best suggestion every month gets guest list for you and two friends!
